I like that i was actually able to capture the moss and aging of the post.
I took some pictures of the entire post but they didn't look at good but at the same time i think this may have looked better if it had been the entire post. I used a different setting for each picture and to tell the truth i didn't see a difference in any of them.

Nice. Did you use an open aperture setting for this?
ReplyDeleteI actually don't know, i took so many pictures of the post that i can't remember which are which. I think in the future i need to keep track of what settings i'm using and the details.
ReplyDeleteWhen I clicked on this and looked at the bigger version I noticed that the top of post was slightly out of focus. I think that can be corrected by narrowing the aperture and getting greater DOF (depth of field).
ReplyDeleteThis is a neat close-up. Then, looking at the orginal photo, it draws yours eyes right to where you took the close up.
ReplyDeleteDifferent angles will produce the biggest differences for you. Roy has a good point for focus.
ReplyDeleteMany times, thinking like a child will help make awesome photos. like laying down on the ground looking skyward will make an unexpected view. Or going super close, where you cannot even tell what it is you are looking at, will make a great shot.
Try making what you are looking at, become abstract, through experimenting with angle, depth of field, or amount of information.
Great work so far!
